Correct! A train wreck waiting to happen! Ducks up big time and with guidance he acknowledges his mistakes and seeks forgiveness before he can finally complete his quest. He is certainly humbled. Btw I can’t read 18 (adult) posts because the UK needs me to verify my age and at present substack doesn’t let me do this - so there are lots of posts I can’t read, your included, if they are posted as adult. I have let substack know and they say they are working to fix the bug. V annoying!
Maybe you read too quickly? He thought the sword he was offered was a ‘heavy cumbersome steel pole’ like the one he had just used in the fight. He is used to a light modern sporting sword 🤺 not the real thing. He would most certainly have been better off swapping it - if it was not as light as a feather 🪶 etc etc. No point have a weapon that’s too heavy and unwieldy.
Great! Love the read.
Ty ty :)
